Finding Your Brand's Elsewhere
Requires Two Things

Philosophy Section Circles

Where these Two Things Meet
Is Your Brand's Elsewhere

Capabilities

1. Strategy

We dig into your brand and your competition until we find the one thing only you can claim. Then we build everything on that.

2. Identity

A brand is more than a logo, tagline, and a color palette. It’s a feeling. We make sure yours is distinct—and true.

3. Ideation

We guide you off the beaten path to ideas that don’t just get noticed—but felt and remembered.

4. Production

Ideas are only as good as their execution. We make sure yours come to life exactly the way they should.

{ Why We Do It }

WE’RE ELSEWHERE

Raleigh, North Carolina, to be specific—which means we’ve spent nearly thirty years proving something: the best ideas don’t come from the expected places. They come from somewhere else entirely.

We’re independent—in how we run our business and how we think. The only people we answer to are our clients and our own standards.

We’re small—which means the people you meet in the pitch are the same ones doing the work: asking the questions, obsessing over every word and letterform, caring about your brand the way you do.

We’ve been at this a long time—long enough to know the work is only as strong as the
relationship behind it. We’re committed to honest conversations, pushing the workfurther, and showing up as the kind of people you actually want to work with.

We’re not interested in safe—yes, it’s easy. Comfy. Inoffensive. But it sure ain’t memorable. If you’re looking for something a little different, it’s time to go Elsewhere.

{ Who We Are }

People

Nike. Johnson & Johnson. Coca-Cola. Over the last thirty years, Lee has shaped some of the most iconic brands in the world—and somehow remained the most relaxed person in the room. He leads with curiosity, champions ideas that push boundaries, and never mistakes comfort for quality. He’s refreshingly honest—the kind of leader who’ll tell you what he really thinks, have the hard conversation when it’s needed, and somehow make you feel good about both. And he brings his dog, Sadie, to the office which frankly might be his greatest contribution of all.

Lee Davis

The Vision, Agency Owner

Aaron has spent his career obsessing over design details most people never notice—and making sure they notice the things he wants them to. For fifteen years, he ran a design and branding studio in Boston, creating work for Sony BMG, HBO, Penguin Publishing, EMI Records, and Hasbro. Then eight and a half years at New Balance, where he learned what it means to build a brand people are genuinely loyal to. He brings all of that to Elsewhere—along with Roxanne, his chocolate lab, who loves everyone here unconditionally. Everyone except Sadie.

The Aesthetic, Leads Design

Lori wrote her first book at age 6. Her teacher said the story had “real voice.” Lori didn't know what that meant exactly—but she liked the sound of it. And that voice hasn’t shut up since. Thirty years later, this same voice has shaped some of the world's most recognizable brands: Chase Bank, Microsoft, and Pfizer. Originally from Indiana, she now calls Raleigh home—where she spends her time outside whenever possible, herding two young daughters and a black lab named River.

The Story, Leads Ideation

Some creatives make you nervous. Jon makes you feel like everything is going to be alright—because with Jon, it is. Nearly thirty years of work that shows up clean, clear, and right the first time will do that. He has a way of making complex information feel simple—and everything else feel easy too. Not for nothing, the office also benefits from his other half’s baking, which arrives occasionally and disappears immediately.

Everything Alice touches ends up beautiful. She won't tell you that—she'll tell you what's wrong with it, what could be better, and why the kerning is off. That's what makes her so good—the endless pursuit of perfection. Originally from Estonia, she brings precision and taste to every project. She has a teenage daughter, loves dogs, and is the most honest person in any room she walks into. Which, at Elsewhere, is saying something.

Alice Brady

The Ideas & Design, Art Direction

In any brainstorm, there's always one person who takes the idea one step further than everyone else. At Elsewhere, that's Brian. His work has the same quality—unexpected, cool, and somehow exactly right. He's open to everything, dismissive of nothing, and has yet to meet a creative problem he didn't want to throw himself at. He’s also got two young kids at home. They have no idea how cool their dad is—and will probably never admit it.

Most strategists think in data. Most creatives think in feelings. Elise thinks in both, which makes her every creative's favorite kind of brief-writer. She's logical, rigorous, and one of the most insightful people in the room. She gets people—what they want, what they need, and what they don’t yet know they want or need. She’s also got 3 young kids, which means her hands, her heart, and her minivan are full.

The Thinking, Brand Strategy

Jay is the kind of person you call when your car dies unexpectedly. Jon has. Twice. Steady, reliable, endlessly supportive—Jay keeps Elsewhere on track, on budget, and on time. Outside the office, he's running two sons to hockey practice with the same calm efficiency he brings to everything else. We genuinely don't know what we'd do without him. Jon especially.

The Details, Project Management

Warm, funny, up on everything happening in culture, down for whatever the moment calls for—Jess can walk into any room and leave with a real conversation, not small talk. She has a way of making people feel comfortable quickly, and heard just as fast. In an industry where relationships can feel transactional, Jess makes them feel human. Her clients don't just like working with her. They look forward to it. Which is probably why so many have stuck around for years.

Jessica Herrschaft

The Relationships, Client Services

Most new business conversations feel like sales calls. Kate's feel like the start of something. She's disarmingly easy to talk to, relentlessly on top of things, and has a genuine gift for making people feel heard—which turns out to be the most important thing you can do before the work even begins. Some of these skills come from two decades in the business. The rest from wrangling her two kiddos.
